Meet Alex

Alex is the proud owner of Building Blocks Speech Therapy. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Cape Town in 2018, followed by a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Intervention from the University of Pretoria in 2022.

Prior to establishing her private practice, Alex worked as a lead speech-language therapist in the United Kingdom, where she supported children with complex needs and feeding difficulties. She has over seven years of experience working with children across a range of speech, language, and feeding needs.

Alex uses evidence-based strategies within a family-centred approach to support each child in reaching their full potential, while empowering parents as key partners in the therapy process. All therapy sessions are thoughtfully individualized to meet each child’s unique needs and help them thrive.
